I have been busy writing as long as I can remember - even before I was able to read or write, myself, I would dictate my stories aloud and my father would type them into our old Macintosh SE/30 computer.
I'm not much of a visual artist, but I do enjoy writing very much. Back in 5th grade, I originally conceived and began writing a sci-fi epic by the name of Galaxar. By the time I finished 8th grade I had completed the first few (short) "books" in the series. Later, in the middle of tenth grade, I decided to restart from the beginning and expand on a lot of story elements.
Over 130,000 words later (most of which made it into my DeviantART gallery), I ultimately decided I didn't like where the story was going. I've "closed the book" on Galaxar for the time being, so to speak, while I rethink its major plot elements and plan ahead for a rewrite sometime in the future. I have come up with several other storyline plots and look forward to the day when I have a gallery full of different stories and "novels." I may dabble in photography/photomanipulation in the future, but for now I'll stick mostly with writing.
I regularly practice my viola, which is a string instrument similar to the violin. I am currently trying to decide between a computer science major or a music performance major, and depending on how ambitious I'm feeling I may choose to double-major.
I enjoy playing somewhat unique video games such as Portal and Mirror's Edge, as well as shooters like Halo. I'm a big fan of Valve's "Portal" and "Portal 2" and have spent an inordinate amount of time listening to their soundtracks and playing the games.
I am extremely computer knowledgable and can solve just about any problem. I have taken computers apart and replaced components and am fascinated with the inner workings of the machines. In addition, I vehemently hate Mac OS and am a dedicated Windows user (more recently, however, Ubuntu Linux has been shaking my attachment to Windows).
If you've stumbled upon my DeviantART profile please take the time to leave a comment or check out some of my deviations. If you don't have interest or time to read a 130,000+ word novel-of-sorts (Galaxar), I would suggest reading Radial Storm, which is the first of three precursors to a solar apocalypse novel I am planning to write a few years down the road.
I'll give you a llama if you give me a llama, and thanks for visiting!
